Wael is Great
Wael Elhalaby is a self-made violinist, improv teacher and spiritual healer who has shaken up the classical world with his creative sounds. His intuition is guided from a deep force, allowing his music to ripple through the world and engage the souls of those who surround him. Known for his ability to tap into the emotions of his listeners, Wael hopes to enlighten others’ awareness and understanding of life.
While attending Kent State University, Wael formed a unique string group with a world-renown psychic by the name of Reginald Lewis and a prodigal violist by the name of Varun. During their free time, they would pursue the art of improvisation and explore the effects it would have on the mental and the emotional spirit of their peers. They would often travel around campus performing what they learned, resulting in their group being featured in school newspapers, magazines, video interviews and events on campus.
Once he graduated, Wael served in the United States Air Force where he went on to strengthen his mind and determination which enforced his ability to be resilient in his ambitions.
Wael felt compelled to make a lifestyle and a career out of his connection to music, which encouraged him to leave the military and go to New Orleans. Wael wanted to play as a street musician in the bustling, rich city of music. Upon his arrival, he immersed himself in the diverse culture and busked long days and nights where he captured the ears of residents and visitors. In the heart of NOLA, having such access to an audience fueled Wael’s dream as a successful musician. To this day, Wael’s photograph is hanging up in the French Market (as pictured below).
After creating a name for himself, Wael pursued his desire to spread his music around the world as he had already played in most of America. He traveled internationally to play in Japan, Germany, Poland, Sweden, Switzerland, Portugal, Dubai, France and Croatia.
Among many of his previous works, Wael notably released his solo album titled “Smooth Sailing” in 2019. His album is available for purchase on iTunes and for streaming on Spotify.
Currently, Wael has been furthering his studies in how he can use his music for sound healing. His goal is to help others elevate to a higher consciousness in life, emotionally and spiritually.
